Responsibilities and Duties
As a Registered Nurse at Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited, your primary duties will include:
Medical Care and Emergency Response
- Provide first aid, emergency care, and routine medical treatment to employees on-site.
- Respond to workplace injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies promptly.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and wound care as needed.
- Conduct health screenings, blood pressure checks, and basic diagnostic tests.
Occupational Health & Safety Compliance
- Assist in implementing workplace health and safety programs.
- Monitor and report occupational hazards, outbreaks, and health trends among staff.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian healthcare regulations and company safety policies.
Health Education and Wellness Programs
- Conduct health awareness campaigns on hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy living.
- Provide counseling and health education to employees on chronic disease management.
- Organize vaccination drives and wellness check-ups for staff.
Medical Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate medical records of all treatments and consultations.
- Prepare incident reports for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Liaise with doctors, hospitals, and emergency services for referrals when necessary.
Administrative Duties
- Manage medical inventory and restock first aid supplies.
- Coordinate with HR and safety teams to ensure medical readiness at all times.
- Assist in medical evacuations if required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (B.NSc) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Additional certifications in Occupational Health, Basic Life Support (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, or emergency care settings.
