Job Overview
You will be essential to the implementation, upkeep, and ongoing improvement of our environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures in your capacity as HSE Coordinator. Your main priorities will be making sure that local, state, and federal laws are followed and that our safety protocols are in line with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
The HSE Coordinator will oversee a variety of initiatives aimed at promoting, observing, and enhancing the organization’s environmental, health, and safety standards. Important duties include of:
Policy Implementation & Compliance
- Oversee the creation, application, and observance of HSE policies, making sure that OSHA, EPA, and other pertinent laws are followed.

Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis

- Coordinate incident response and reporting protocols, ensuring timely documentation, investigation, and corrective actions.
- Investigate events, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to identify the root causes and offer preventive actions.
- Keep a careful record of all incidents and monitor patterns to better future risk management.
Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Initiatives
- Implement and monitor environmental programs, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and pollution control, in line with business sustainability objectives.
- Conduct environmental audits to guarantee adherence to local, state, and federal environmental requirements.
Communication and Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related issues and ensure that management, staff, and external stakeholders communicate effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards detailing HSE performance indicators, incidents, and compliance status for senior management to evaluate.
- Attend monthly HSE committee meetings and provide feedback to encourage continual development.
Required Qualifications
The ideal applicant should fulfill the following requirements in order to succeed in the position of HSE Coordinator:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a similar discipline. It is beneficial to have professional certificates like as OSHA, NEBOSH, CHMM, or CSP.
- Experience: 3-5years at least in an HSE position, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
- Knowledge: Excellent comprehension of EPA guidelines, OSHA rules, and other pertinent HSE laws. familiarity with root cause analysis and risk assessment techniques.
- Technical Skills: Experience with HSE management software and mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are preferred.
- Personal Qualities: Proactive problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities. Capacity to operate both individually and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
It is quite beneficial to have professional qualifications like Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
