Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient health history reviews and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
  • Diagnose medical conditions and provide tailored treatment plans, including counseling for patients.
  • Prescribe medications in compliance with New York State regulations and professional practice standards.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures within the scope of the physician’s credentials.
  • Coordinate referrals for patients requiring specialized services not available within the practice.
  • Review and interpret diagnostic reports (e.g., lab results, x-rays, EKGs), ensuring timely follow-up and documentation.
  • Participate in community outreach programs and off-site healthcare initiatives as directed by the Medical Director.
  • Adhere to and enforce the practice’s Infection Control protocols, including the use of universal precautions, and ensure compliance among support staff.
  • Engage in peer reviews, quality assurance activities, provider meetings, and other clinical discussions.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of clinical protocols and practice guidelines as needed.
  • Represent the practice at external medical public relations events when required.
  • Meet or exceed the practice’s productivity standards and performance expectations.
  • Ensure all patient chart notes are completed and locked within seven (7) days of the visit.
  • Maintain an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of New York, including all necessary narcotics and DEA licensure required for full clinical privileges.
