The Role

An opportunity to work in a clinic at the Immigration Detention Center for a seasoned mental health nurse.

Key responsibilities as a Mental Health Nurse

  • Provide clinical care for mental health issues at a high standard.
  • In emergency cases, initiates appropriate treatment and referral.
  • Managing patients on mental health drugs as a member of a multidisciplinary team
    Medication administration
  • Taking part in health-promoting initiatives
  • Perform Mental Health Assessments: Create customized care plans by assessing patients’ mental, physical, and emotional health.
  • Work together with medical teams: To guarantee comprehensive care, collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other medical specialists.
  • Administer Medication: While maintaining patient safety, keep an eye on and provide medication in accordance with recommended treatment protocols.
  • Patient Support & Education: Give patients and their families advice, knowledge, and assistance regarding mental health issues, available treatments, and coping mechanisms.
