Basic Qualifications
- High school or its equivalent
- Less than 3 years’ experience
Experience
- It is very ideal to have prior experience in a food safety, pharmaceutical, industrial, or microbiology laboratory.
- As a Microbiology Technician, It is advantageous to have practical experience with microbiological procedures such colony counts, sample plating, and aseptic technique.
Technical Proficiency
- Solid knowledge of the fundamentals of microbiology, including virology, parasitology, mycology, and bacteriology.
- Competence in laboratory procedures such autoclaving, gram staining, pipetting, streaking, and medium preparation.
- Knowledge of pertinent analytical software and lab equipment.
Attention to Detail as a Microbiology Technician
- Strong precision and attention to detail when conducting experiments, documenting findings, and evaluating information.
- The capacity to maintain a high degree of uniformity in lab procedures and to closely adhere to SOPs.
Problem-solving Skills
